Platform role
PawProof is a training assessment and record platform. It sets evidence standards, verifies eligible trainer credentials, reviews materials, and maintains record status. It is not a government agency, legal registry, medical provider, or airline authority.
Important legal notice. Under the ADA, no certification or registration is required for a service dog, and businesses may not demand documentation. This certificate attests only that the named dog has passed PawProof's training assessment standards.
User statements
Users must provide accurate, complete, and unaltered information; submit only materials they are authorized to share; avoid using any PawProof item to misrepresent an animal; and comply with applicable federal, state, and local laws. Knowingly misrepresenting a pet as a service animal may carry criminal or civil penalties in some jurisdictions.
No guaranteed result
Payment covers assessment work and platform review, not approval. Records are issued only when the submitted evidence meets the published standard. An assessment decision is not a determination of disability or legal status.
Suspension and revocation
PawProof may mark a record expired, suspended, or revoked if required review is not completed, source information is false or altered, the assessor's credential becomes invalid, evidence integrity is compromised, or platform terms are materially violated.
Assessor relationship
Assessors are independent professionals responsible for their own methods, licenses or credentials, insurance, taxes, and professional judgment. Platform approval does not create an employment relationship.
Payments and renewals
Phase 1 payments will use PayPal only. Annual review uses reminder notices and a manual payment link; no card is stored for automatic renewal in version 1.
Final contract items
Before checkout is enabled, the final terms must include counsel-reviewed dispute resolution, state-specific consumer provisions, liability limits, warranty disclaimers, intellectual-property terms, acceptable-use rules, and the legal entity's full contact information. California consumers may require specific arbitration treatment.
